Her's failed. With a geek trick I found on line (putting it in the freezer - yes, in the freezer) I was able to recover all her photos and music. About 2 weeks later, mine failed. Same trick, same successful recovery. They were both bought and installed within about a month of each other about 2 1/2 years ago. The probabilities of two failures like that, well... So we now have Western Digital Passports, as do two of my sons. Will let you know if any of them fail! I am using Jungledisk.com, but there are many others out there too. Check out the lifehacker article about it for a comparison. Literally a couple dollars per month, which is totally worth it.
